The forecast is for occasional rain and sleety showers, so a short walk on the Matakitaki Track is proposed.
It's a 15 min. (20 km) drive to the car park at the West Wanaka bridge.
The track is an easy 2.4 km walk up the true right of the Matukituki River. We have permission from Glendhu Station to continue on from the end of the track if we wish to explore further.
