Monday's Walk 20th February 2023

Bush Creek Walkway, Arrowtown

A return walk from the Chinese village in Arrowtown to the saddle at the head of Bush Creek and great views over Speargrass Flat and Lake Hayes. 5.5 km each way with a 400 m height gain. The track was upgraded to good MTB standard a year or so ago so is much easier walking than it used to be, with a good surface and all stream crossings bridged. If the nor'wester gets unpleasantly strong a tussock clearing 1 km before the saddle makes a good alternative turnaround point.
