Monday’s Walk - 1 April

It looks like the overnight rain will have past through the region by 6.00am so let's do something higher up and close to home: Isthmus Peak Track.
The track is signposted just south of Stewart Creek on State Highway 6, leading up to the neck of Lake Hawea & Lake Wanaka.
The intention is to go up to about halfway and have our lunch at the rocky outcrop, at about 650 meters height, with some stunning views over Lake Hawea, Corner Peak & the Dingle Burn. For the brave & keen there's the option to go all the way to the top and take in some even more breathtaking views from the very top.
This means we will have to divide up into different groups, with the cars as well, so please make your intentions known before leaving the carpark at the lakeside to get organised accordingly.

In case the weather's not looking the best there's always ..................Option B:
Gladstone Track from Lake Hawea Campground to John's Creek.
