Monday's Walk - 26th March

Dry Creek - drive to Ardgour Road (by the Lindis River behind Tarras) to the DOC car park. After 4 km on the flat we turn left, cross Dry Creek (yes, it is usually dry) and climb the hill for lunch somewhere on the ridge leading to Cloudy Peak.

Monday's Walk - 19th March

Plan A, B, C .. J have been ditched because of the approaching weather: rain and wind.
Plan K: Drive to Peregrine Wines and walk to the Kawarau Gorge Suspension Bridge and back. Bungy jumping and coffee are optional. Afterwards an optional visit to Rum Curries Hut.

Monday's Walk - 12th March

Blue River Valley. Park at the Blue Pools carpark. Cross the Makarora River swingbridge but don't turn left to the pools - carry on straight ahead and up. The track stays in bush, going up and down and around. It is a bit rough in places. Usually we do not get as far as the flats by the river - stop for lunch when we want and return the same way.

Monday's Walk - 5th March

Mount Dewar - park on Skippers Saddle, climb up Mt. Dewar (1310m) for a magnificent view of Mt.Gilbert (1787m) - also look down at the Moonlight Track 700m below. Down the ridge for lunch, then more down to Big Bend, Castle Rock and Hells Gate. Return up the Skippers Road.
