Monday’s Walk 29 April

Alexandra to Clyde Riverside Trail

Meet at our usual meeting place on the lakeside at 9.30 am.
Let's kick around some autumn leaves and take in the spectacular autumn colours.
We will drop a few cars by the Clyde Bridge for a car shuffle.
The other cars will park at Alexandra Lakeside Domain, cross the bridge in Alex, turn right into Earnscleugh Road, ignore the first right into Hart Place, next right goes down steeply to the carpark. This is where we will all meet prior to starting out our walk.
Be prepared for some autumn weather, i.e. cool conditions, possible rain and a reasonable amount of mud.

Monday's Walk - 22nd April 2019

Tobins Track/Bracken Saddle

Meet at the lakeside carpark at 9.30am. We will then drive to Arrowtown and park in the carpark at the end of Ford Street. The walk starts with a steady climb of about 30 - 40 minutes up to the trig point (657m) at the top of Tobins Track, where you will get amazing views back over Arrowtown and the Crown Terrace. It is then a bit over an hour's walk to Bracken Saddle (approx 900m). The track through Bracken Gully is quite narrow with steep drop-offs. We will have lunch on the saddle before heading back down to the carpark I would suggest bringing boots & walking poles as the track will probably be quite muddy and slippery in places after this weekend's rain.
