Aurora Loop walk at Bendigo

Meet 9.30am at the waterfront car park opposite McDougall St.
We will explore the Aurora mining area. After lunch at the Pengelly Hotel (BYO lunch) we will return to the car park via Welshtown.
An easy walk of approx 6k

Re: Monday’s Walk - 21st August 2023

Northlake Sticky Forest Circuit

Meet at 9.30am at the waterfront car park opposite McDougall Street.

Drive to Outlet Road in Northlake, take the first turn on the left into NorthLake Drive and travel up the road to Glenavon Green on your right. We will gather in the BBQ shelterer by the skate board park and tennis courts.
Albert Towner's etc can meet us here.
From here we walk to the Outlet. From the Outlet we will walk to Penrith Park area and thence by Reserve and Sticky Forest Tracks back to the starting point.
Approximately 3 hours walking.
Some off track walking which will be wet and greasy. Please wear stout footwear and bring poles if you have them.

Mondays walk

Hillend Station radio aerials.

Meet at usual place for a 9.30 start.

We have permission to go on the farmland up on the 4 wheel drive track
to aerials.
A steady climb to reach the top with good views. Weather has been
changing each time i check. It is for showers and light winds and cold
temperatures.
Be dressed for rain and wear warm clothes.

We will make the decision in the morning to proceed depending on
weather conditions.

Monday walk 7th August

Bannockburn Arm

Meet at usual place 9.30am.

Drive to Old Cromwell.

We will walk along the kawarau Arm of Lake Dunstan over Bannockburn Bridge with a lunch stop at the top of the Bannockburn Arm.
Return via Bannockburn and along Bannockburn Rd to finish with coffee in Old Cromwell.

Weather is meant to be chilly and some possible showers but who knows? Keeping lo low ground.
Be prepared for the cold, bring lunch. Track very good.
