Monday Walk 29th July

We will travel to Lowburn, near Cromwell and park in the lakefront campervan and camping area.
From there we will walk up Lowburn Valley Road, following the lake edge, then follow a loop road that emerges back onto the main road as Bush Cottage Road.
From there it's a short distance back to the lakefront, then follow the track, back to the car park. Approx 6.5 ks total distance.

Monday Walk 22nd July

We will travel up to the Motatapu Bridge carpark, then walk up the Motatapu river track.
The rocky gorge will be a good spot for lunch, then return back down the track.
Parts of the track can be bit wet, so good winter footwear essential.

Monday’s Walk 15th July

 Millenium Walk

The forecast is for a cold fine morning with occasional rain developing in the afternoon-could be heavy. We will leave a car at the Glenghu Bay end. It's an easy track from Waterfall Creek carpark, via Damper Bay to Glendhu Bay carpark, with fine views up the lake  and peaks of lower Matukituki Valley. It is about 13km (3.5hrs). There shouldn't be too many cyclists at this time of the year.

Walk leader: Chris Kjelgaard (with help from Quentin, again)

Monday’s Walk 8th July

Matakitaki Track

The forecast is fine and frosty for a walk along the Matukituki River. We drive 15min(20 km) to the carpark at the West Wanaka bridge. Then the track is an easy 2.4 km walk up the true right. (Good for holidaying grandchildren). We have permission from Glendhu Station to continue on further if we wish.
