COLQUHOUNS BEACH AND RETURN ALONG MINARET BURN TRACK. 14kms
The weather looks OK with cloudy periods.
From Wanaka-Mt Aspiring Road turn right onto West Wanaka Road. Go across the bridge over the Matukituki River to the car park at the end of the road at Homestead Bay. You will need to go through 2 farm gates. 4WD car may be best if wet but been dry recently. The Minaret Burn track is undulating and although may be muddy in places should not be slippery. There are a couple of small streams to cross but with care should not get feet wet. Lunch will be at Colquhouns Beach. Then return along same track.
