Long Acre Track - Chain Hills
We drive over to the Lindis Valley and turn onto Goodger Road and follow a 4 WD track to the furthest DOC carpark at Pleasant Valley.
Initially the walk follows the valley floor but then climbs steeply to the high point where it intersects with the Chain Hills track distance approx 7km.
We will have lunch facing the St Bathans range and return our steps back the same way.
We should be above any inversion but temperatures could be cool so make sure to bring warm layers, possibility of afternoon tea at Tarras on our return trip.

Google now charges to include a map, and their instructions on getting a free API_KEY are too gobbledegooglish for me to bother. The normal meeting place is the lake front near the showgrounds, Lat:-44.6990, Lng:169.1257.
