Dingleburn Station
Meet at the waterfront carpark opposite McDougall Street for a 9.30 am departure.
We will walk along the gravel road from the DoC carpark on the eastern side of Lake Hawea to the beach beyond SilverIsland and have lunch there before returning. The kowhai along the cliffs should be in full flower and providing a wonderful sight and attracting the birds.
Please bring $10 to contribute to travel costs.
If the northwesterly winds are too strong we will instead investigate the fishing access points below Kanes Reserve and/or off Maori Point Rd.
