Blue River Valley. Park at the Blue Pools carpark. Cross the Makarora River swingbridge but don't turn left to the pools - carry on straight ahead and up. The track stays in bush, going up and down and around. It is a bit rough in places. Usually we do not get as far as the flats by the river - stop for lunch when we want and return the same way.

Google now charges to include a map, and their instructions on getting a free API_KEY are too gobbledegooglish for me to bother. The normal meeting place is the lake front near the showgrounds, Lat:-44.6990, Lng:169.1257.
