Rain is forecast for tomorrow and also snow for the passes in the morning.
Given careful consideration of the weather forecast reluctantly there will be no walk tomorrow.

Monday Walk 11th August

Hi Team The weather forecast looks sunny but cool for tomorrow 9o so we are going to walk the long gully loop track starting at the Bannockburn sluicings on Felton road. There is 510 meters of climb  in the walk . Meeting 9.30 at McDougall street car park  $10 for petrol money

 Meet at the usual place and time . We are going to walk along the dingleburn road to have lunch on the beach then return by the same route.
Weather forecast is fine sunny and cool

Hikuwai Alberttown walk.
The walk will be through the Hikuwai forest down to the Outlet and back through Alberttown.  
Change of meeting venue to meeting at Glenavon Green skate and bike park at 9.30am.

Monday's walk 21st July

Monday's walk is the Motatapu river walk. It is 11kms return with a lovely walk following the river. 
We will park just after the bridge opposite the quarry.
We will meet at the usual place at the McDougall lakefront carpark 9.30am.
$5 for transport.  Weather cloudy.

wanaka walkers

Monday 7th July 2025
the weather forecast is for a sunny cool day so we are going to walk up the grave site on Mt Roy from waterfall creek Trying to get Chris Kjegaard's walk done .  Make sure you have shoe/boots with good grip as it maybe slippery 
Meet at usual place McDougall street car park at 9.30 drive to waterfall creek and walk on millennium  track to the farm track track that  take you to the Mt. Roy track. Walk to the grave site, lunch and return (in fact cloud was low again and we repeated the Millenium track).
Jake Haywood is going to lead the walk as I have to go to work this week
