Destination: Emerald Bluffs / Paddock Bay
Note: this walk was not accessible. Instead we did Boundary Creek
Description: A short, flat, and easy loop walk from the West Wanaka
Road, passing through a reconstructed native wetland en route to Lake Wanaka
opposite Glendhu Bluff, around the western shore of Paddock Bay, and then
returning via Buchanan Rise. This is a short walk so we can anticipate an
early lunch and being back at the cars by 1:30 p.m. at the latest. Overnight
rain is very likely but most forecasts suggest it will clear by morning.
