Monday 18th Dec
Christmas Shared lunch. Meet 9.30 at usual Lake front spot.
We'll drive to the Mt Aspiring Viewpoint carpark on Mt Aspiring Rd, Wanaka side of Glendhu Bay. Then walk to Damper bay and return to the cars (8-10 km) where we can collect our lunch and find a sheltered spot to share our repast. Something to share would be nice. Bring a chair if you don't want to be on the ground. The weather is looking good (16-20degrees) so you might want to bring togs and have a lake dip as well.

Monday's walk 25th September
We drive over the Crown Range, turn right and turn right and dump our passengers at the Whitechapel Flat Historic Reserve. The cars are then shuffled to the bungy jump car park. From Whitechapel Road we head to the Loo with a View for an optional comfort stop. The cycle track turns left and winds its way over bridges and passes under underpasses to emerge at the bungy bridge. Resisting the temptation to jump off, we continue on a short distance before turning right into Chard Road. We will probably turn back before we get to Chard Farm.

Meet at 9.30am usual place down by the waterfront carpark opposite McDougall Street.
The weather forecast is partly cloudy with areas of morning frost and fog (9 degrees max/ 4 degrees min). If West Wanaka (Plan A) looks foggy it may be a better option to travel towards Makarora (Plan B) and climb above the fog. We can decide at the waterfront carpark.
