Destination: Alexandra - Manorburn - Clock loop
Description: With rain likely in the Upper Clutha we'll head to Alexandra seeking drier climes. Our walk is an 11 km loop starting from the poetically named "Linger and Die" (see map below), following the Central Otago Rail Trail for 4 km to Manorburn Dam, another 4 km following a well-maintained 4WD track to Little Valley Road, and a final 3 km to the clock overlooking Alexandra.
Note for drivers: the walk starts just past the corner of Pioneer Park on SH 85 (the Pig Route). Immediately after turning the corner at the southeast corner of the park turn right into Walton Street and continue on to Rivers Street where there is plenty of parking on the right.
