Cromwell Old Town along Lake Dunstan, past the Bannockburn Bridge to lunch by the Kawarau River. Return the same way. We park by the boat ramp near the Memorial Hall.
Afterwards Brian & Marjon will go swimming, not in Lake Dunstan but at the Cromwell Swimming Pool - which also has a hot pool. Bring your togs, a few dollars and Gold Card.

Monday's walk - 15th May
McPhies Ridge - climb up to views over the Lindis Valley towards Lindis Peak.
We drive through Tarras to Cluden Hill then turn right onto a gravel road which drops down to a bridge over the Lindis River, where we park. After a couple of kilometres on the flat we start to climb up onto the ridge. Lunch will probably be near the airstrip. We return the way we came.

Wanted: a leader for 22nd May, when Brian is away.

Monday's walk - 8th May
Alexandra to Clyde by the side of the Clutha to enjoy the autumn colours.
Most people will drive to the car park in Alexandra Lakeside Domain - cross the Clutha bridge in Alexandra, turn right into Earnscleugh Road and second right down to the park.
Meanwhile three/four cars will go to the car park by the bridge in Clyde, where we leave two/three for the car shuffle, then join the others.
After a leisurely stroll in the sunshine (anyone striding too energetically ahead will have to walk back) and lunch by the river, the non-drivers can indulge in coffee in Clyde.
