Roaring Meg Pack Track
The Roaring Meg Pack Track has just be re-opened by the owners to allow public access so its a great opportunity to walk
the old pack track from Kawarau River -we leave from the carpark at Roaring Meg station up the track and lunch by a stream. The first part of the track is a little overgrown
but not for long.

Monday 12th December
Today is the Wanaka Walkers AGM so the walk format is little different. We will have a short (approx 2 hour walk) from Beacon Point towards the outlet.
We will be back at the cars by noon for the shared lunch and AGM.

Long Gully - Bannockburn
Turn off Bannockburn village onto Domain Road. At the end is a small carpark - cross the footbridge and walk into Stewart Town - here is the original orchard, Menzies house and the remnants of his dam.
From here we set out across pasture up to Long Gully. There is a steep hill to take us to the top where we will have lunch and enjoy the views.
There is no shelter or shade on this trip - hats and water essential!
